Five-Day (3/2 day split) CFG® New Coaches’ Training in Bloomington, IN
February 4, 2019 - February 6, 2019| $850
This Five-Day Open Training for Critical Friends Group® Coaches begins in Bloomington, Indiana and will be split in time with the FIRST THREE DAYS held February 4-6, 2019. The last TWO DAYS of training are to be determined by the coaches-in-training. Those who fully complete this training will be certified as NSRF® Critical Friends Group Coaches. (If you are unable to attend the particular two days chosen by the group, you will have a credit with NSRF and will have other options for completing your training and becoming certified.)
Trainings are tailored to the needs of the participant mix. For example, teachers will gain skills to improve student learning, create equity in the classroom, and increase efficient, effective communication. Administrator participants will learn new facilitation skills, strategic planning, observation techniques, and methods of attaining school-wide collaboration. All participants will enhance their professional performance through the use of protocols and reflective practice.
Attending this Open Training is $850/participant and includes a copy of the Critical Friends Group Coaches’ Handbook and a 12-pack of Collaborative Cue Cards. NSRF will provide snacks and lunches during the day. Travel, lodging, and dinners are the only expenses not included in that rate. We also organize a special group rate of $150/night at the hotel hosting the training which includes a breakfast buffet.
If more than one colleague attends from a given school or district and registers together, each will receive a $50 discount on training, leaving the price at $800 each. Any open training option is best if you’d like to train single participants or small groups. If you have a large number of people to be trained as coaches, contact us about a possible On-site Training to suit your schedule.
Our seminar days begin at 8:30 am and end at 4:00 pm. On the third and fifth days of training, we end at 2:30 pm to allow participants time to travel home. Because we begin each morning at 8:30 sharp, if you’re flying, you will want to fly into the Indianapolis Airport the night before. Please make sure you make travel arrangements for Bloomington, Indiana not one of the country’s other Bloomingtons! We’re about a 50-minute drive south of Indianapolis. You can rent a car at the airport or take the airport shuttle directly to the training site.
Please do not book non-refundable travel until we confirm that this training as described will occur. We encourage you to invite your friends and colleagues to help us fill the cohort. When we confirm this training (six weeks prior, at the latest), we will give you a link to book your hotel room at a discounted rate.
NSRF works hard to keep the costs of five-day trainings low, and only accepts up to 15 participants per cohort, which makes it an especially high-value training opportunity. Because of the limited number of seats and the low margin, full refunds are only available with cancellations at least eight weeks before the event. If you must cancel between six and eight weeks, you may receive a 50% refund. Later than six weeks, we cannot offer a refund. We encourage anyone whose plans have changed to transfer their paid application to another attendee, if possible. If you must cancel your attendance and/or transfer your registration fee to another person, please give us a call for further instructions. By submitting your registration here you are agreeing to these terms.
