The spring Open Training for Critical Friends Groups Coaches is scheduled to begin February 18-20, 2013, in Bloomington, Indiana. This is the first three days of a five-day training: participants will bring their calendars to the training and, together, determine when they will return to Bloomington for the two final days.

Trainings are tailored to the needs of the participant mix. For example, teachers will gain skills to improve student learning, create equity in the classroom, and increase efficient, effective communication. Administrator participants will learn new facilitation skills, strategic planning and observation techniques, and methods of attaining schoolwide collaboration. All participants will enhance their personal performance through the use of protocols and reflective practice. Upon conclusion of the five days of this training, participants will become official CFG coaches.

Attending this open seminar is $795/participant. Travel, lodging and dinners are not included. This option is best if you’d like to train single participants or small groups. If you have a large number of people to be trained as coaches, contact us about a possible on-site training to suit your schedule.

Our seminar days begin at 8:30 am and end at 4:00 pm. Because we will begin on Monday, at 8:30 am, you'll probably want to fly into the Indianapolis Airport the night before. (Note: Please make sure you are making travel arrangements for Bloomington, Indiana not Bloomington, Illinois!) Bloomington is about 50 min. from Indianapolis. You can rent a car at the airport or take the airport shuttle, directly to the Holiday Inn. On Wednesday, the training will end at 2:00 pm to allow people time to travel home that day.

The training session will take place at the Holiday Inn Hotel on Kinser Pike, in Bloomington, IN. We are getting a group rate for our participants for rooms there at $99.00 a night, (the cost of the hotel is not included in the training fee.)
