The
work of the National School Reform Faculty (NSRF) is rooted
in our mission to foster educational and social equity and
is characterized by the concepts of critical friendship, facilitative
leadership, and the development of learning communities. Our
network of educators in schools and districts across the country
is guided by these concepts and driven by our mission.
In 2007, NSRF is restructuring and has become a dues-paying membership
organization. The plan is designed to enable NSRF to continue
to offer our services to all educators regardless of ability
to pay and to establish NSRF as a permanent national institution.
NSRF protocols, tools, texts, research, and other resources have
always been free to anyone who wanted to use them. We want to
continue this tradition. All people associated with NSRF are
members and our resources and support will not be limited to
only those who contribute a membership fee. However, we believe
that annual membership contributions from each of us will ensure
that the materials upon which we depend continue to be as accessible
as the nearest internet connection.
Our membership plan is an important organizational change that
impacts all NSRF practitioners, National Facilitators and Centers
of Activity. Membership is essential to our sustainability and
will allow us to continue to grow and serve our community of reflective
practitioners.
