CONNECTIONS
The mission of the National School Reform Faculty is to foster educational and social equity by empowering all people involved with schools to work collaboratively in reflective democratic communities that create and support powerful learning experiences for everyone.

Connections is a journal of the National School Reform Faculty. Published three times per year, it provides a forum for Critical Friends Groups (CFG) coaches and other reflective educators to share their practice. Those interested in contributing to a future issue should contact Debbie Bambino at dbambino@earthlink.net

Writer’s Guidelines
We are interested in publishing writing that connects to our Mission Statement. Articles range from approximately 800 words to 1200 words, depending on content and context. The journal reserves the right to decline to publish articles that do not connect with our reader base, or writing that needs substantial revision. The writer retains the right to submit their articles to publication in other places, although the writer should be aware that their writing will be circulated to over 8000 readers who will be encouraged to use the piece in their work with other practitioners. Please follow the following guidelines when submitting your writing.

    • Writing should be in a first-person narrative style
    • All writing should be submitted in a Word document
    • Writing should focus on teaching/coaching practice, not theory
    • Writing should be double-spaced, 12 pt. font
    • Writers should use MLA format for any sources cited
    • Header/footer should contain name, email address, title of piece, and page numbers
    • Writers are encouraged to cite work from students and adults.
    • Writers are encouraged to submit graphics to accompany text
    • Signed release forms must accompany any student work samples
    • Editor(s) will suggest revisions within a month of receipt of article
